The Novi Community School District Board of Education voted Jan. 22 to approve the purchase of kitchen equipment for Novi High School, authorizing $175,512.95 to be spent from the district food service fund. Secretary Robert Paul Cook moved the action after Assistant Superintendent Scicluna and Director of Food Service Kimberly Sinclair presented the equipment proposal and emphasized immediate operational needs.
"Approve the purchase of kitchen equipment for $175,512.95, spent out of the food service fund," Secretary Cook moved, and the motion passed unanimously, recorded as "MOTION CARRIED 7‑0." Scicluna later thanked the board for moving the item from information to action and noted maintenance staffing plans in light of winter weather. The board did not attach conditions or amendments to the purchase during the meeting.
