Brian Papke of Leeward Ventures presented the Bison Preserve development proposal to the board, describing plans for a mixed residential community consisting of single-family homes, townhomes and apartments with an emphasis on attainable housing options and some units designated for public-sector employees. Papke said the project would allocate buildable lots for the district’s Building Trades Program and highlighted ongoing grant-seeking and site engineering work.
Papke told the board the development team has submitted a Congressionally Directed Spending application and is considering use of a Housing TIF, while continuing site data collection and revisions to the development agreement ahead of township planning discussions. "focus on attainable housing for the local workforce and designated units for public-sector employees," Papke said in describing the project’s housing priorities.
