Board parliamentarian asks for records after members say they weren't briefed on Waterloo

"We as a board never discussed this... I can't find anywhere where this board deliberated on Waterloo," Darla said, asking staff to produce meeting dates and notes. She told colleagues the record should show whether the item was a work session or a public board meeting and when parents were notified.
Administration responded that a decision to put Waterloo "on pause for this year" was communicated in late May and described the Oct. 7 session as the start of a public conversation and not the final decision on school configuration. Staff agreed to follow up with documentation and to bring any needed items back for the board to consider at subsequent meetings.
