District will start all elementary schools at 8:38 a.m.; three-tier bus plan this fall

Superintendent Shaw announced the district's elementary start and end times for the coming school year and described the bus-tier plan. "All 4 of our elementary buildings, which means that, you know, Arborwood and the Custer campuses, are all gonna start and then at the same time... The elementaries will all begin at 08:38 in the morning and end at 03:35," she said.
Shaw said the district will operate a three-tier system this year (elementary, middle, high staggered across three tiers) with a goal of moving to two tiers next year. Board members asked for follow-up numbers, including how many students are bused and parent-loop traffic configurations; Shaw said staff would provide those numbers and follow up with individual parents who raised concerns.
