Miss Shook told the board the district sought approval to purchase food-service equipment, including freight and set-in-place delivery from Stafford Smith Inc. of Madison Heights, Michigan, at a cost not to exceed $282,423. "Tonight, we are asking the board to move to approve the purchase of food service equipment, including freight and set in place delivery from Stafford Smith Inc of Madison Heights, Michigan at a cost not to exceed $282,423," she said.
A board member moved to approve the purchase with a reminder to inspect equipment promptly because the district has a 48-hour window for inspection.
