Swan Valley board acknowledges resignation and retirements, approves hires

At its Feb. 19 meeting the Swan Valley School District Board accepted several personnel items in a single slate of motions.
The board acknowledged the resignation of teacher Darcy Nicholas effective at the end of the 2025–26 school year; accepted the retirement of custodian Al Roth effective July 31, 2026; and accepted the retirement of Havens Elementary Principal Shelly DuRussel effective Dec. 31, 2026. The board also approved hiring Allisha Spivey as a regular bus driver and approved Carly Brown (middle school girls track coach) and Christine Davila (high school boys club volleyball coach) for the 2025–26 spring sports season. Each personnel motion passed unanimously (Aye: 7, Nye: 0).
