Vice President for Administration and Finance Matt McGregor presented the FY27 operating and capital plans, explaining that the budget is based on a tuition increase of 3.68% (with comp fees keeping the combined increase below 4%) and conservative state general fund assumptions.
McGregor noted the university is modeling conservative revenue scenarios, that the university share of benefits costs will increase by about 13 percent, and that capital priorities include routine maintenance, Dorrill Dining Hall upgrades, a baseball field turf project, maintenance reserve funding for deferred maintenance, and five HVAC projects; the board approved the tuition, operating budget and capital plan unanimously after a motion by David Rose and second by Brian Schmalzbach.
