Dr. Coleman confirmed the logistics: the panel would begin with question No. 1 with Trustee Seals, proceed around the table so each member asks two questions, and allow a brief 10-minute break between candidates to tally scores. The board recorded interview times for five candidates: Lula Woodward (5:15 p.m.), Khadijah Murrell (5:45 p.m.), Connie Johnson (6:15 p.m.), Alison Reed (6:45 p.m.), and Janae T. Bady (7:15 p.m.).
The panel used cumulative point totals after interviews to inform deliberation and a subsequent appointment motion. Secretary V. Harrison later read the cumulative totals aloud during deliberation.
