During the Oct. 10 special meeting, Superintendent Kerhoulas reviewed elements of the state budget and highlighted concern about how some funding streams are being allocated. Kerhoulas noted topics included per-pupil funding, at-risk student funding and safety and mental-health funding, and said the district is "disappointed in amount of funding going to places other than public education."
Board members discussed the implications for local programming but did not take formal action. Kerhoulas provided the review as part of a workshop briefing; no new local revenue or policy measures were proposed during the meeting.
