Student athletes and performers earn milestones, board hears updates

Student Representative Brady Heibeck reported highlights from athletics and activities at the Feb. 9 meeting. He noted a girls basketball win over Fowlerville and a boys win over Eastern, a Unified PE basketball highlight, senior Bryce Pratl reaching 1,000 career points, the wrestling team’s tournament victory and "Brady Heibeck earning his 100th win."
The minutes also record strong participation in Solo and Ensemble, theatre placing second at regionals and preparing to host states, a Quiz Bowl win over Lansing Catholic, and the Mathletes preparing for their next competition with leading scorer Nick Heiner. A new student group, Club America, was formed and senior interviews are scheduled next week.
