Board approves multi-year fuel and grounds contracts through 2028

The St. Johns Public Schools Board unanimously approved multi‑year contracts for core operations at its Feb. 9 meeting. The board approved the 2026–2028 Gas and Diesel and Propane contracts with Smith Oil & Propane and a 2026–2028 mowing contract for Riley and Eureka with Gus' Landscaping, LLC.
The approvals followed presentations from Operations & Transportation Director Rob Gleeson recommending the vendors. "Motion by Vice President Parker‑Sternburgh, supported by Treasurer Nelson, that the St. Johns Public Schools Board of Education approve the 2026–2028 Gas and Diesel bid with Smith Oil & Propane, as presented," the minutes record. The board also approved the 2026–2028 Propane bid with Smith Oil & Propane and the mowing contract with Gus' Landscaping, LLC; all motions were recorded as unanimously approved.
