Longwood reports HVAC, roof and Rotunda dome work and audit progress

Vice President for Administration and Finance Matt McGregor told the Board that campus teams completed a major reopening after a January winter storm and outlined capital projects underway: HVAC replacements on five buildings, repairs to Eason Hall’s roof and clock tower, and Rotunda dome refurbishment. Site development for the new music building is under way, with steel expected this summer and completion targeted for Summer 2028.
McGregor also updated trustees on audits: the FY24 audit was described as in its final stages and the FY25 audit work is underway. In response to a question about impacts from state diversity-policy changes on contracts, McGregor said Longwood’s procurement team works with general contractors to meet state guidelines.
