The Port Huron Area School District Board of Education voted Feb. 23 to authorize district staff to seek and negotiate with a new sponsor for the Teen Health Center at Port Huron High School.
The motion, offered by Frank Partipilo and seconded by Timothy McCulloch, directs the district to transition away from the County and the SCCHD and to do so in a way that keeps Teen Health services operating with "little or no further disruptions" on the PHHS campus. The motion passed 5–0 with two board members absent.
Board minutes record the decision as direction to district leadership to begin sponsor negotiations; the record does not identify a proposed replacement sponsor or timeline beyond the directive to move the process forward while minimizing disruption to services.
