The Albert Lea Public School District school board reviewed a package of policy updates and approved them during the Dec. 15 meeting. Staff presenters Ashley Mattson, Tonya Franks and Sheila Riebe led the policy review; a motion by Kim Nelson and second by Angie Hoffman approved the policies presented (recorded vote: 6-0).
Among actions, the board completed the final reading and approval of Policy 712, "Video Surveillance, other than on buses," on a motion by Nelson and second by Gary Schindler. Policy 722 (Public Data Requests) was presented and included in the package approval. The minutes record that Policy 610 (Field Trips) was given a first reading to replace Policy 10190 (K-12 Student Field Trips, Major Magnitude).
