The Aitkin Public School District board on March 16 approved updates to four district policies covering administrator ethics, instructional materials, video recording and public data requests.
The motion to approve the policies, made by Holly Mindrum and seconded by Rev. Dawn Houser, passed without recorded opposition. The approved items were Policy 306 (Administrator Code of Ethics), Policy 606 (Textbook and Instructional Materials), Policy 712 (Video Recording other than on Buses) and Policy 722 (Public Data and Data Subject Request).
Board members said the consolidated vote was intended to streamline compliance and bring several policy documents up to date. No amendments were offered on the floor. The approval follows a first reading in the policy committee meeting held March 11, where additional policies were discussed for future consideration.
