Paw Paw board approves budget resolution, drinking-fountain contract, furniture purchase and well change order

The Paw Paw Public Schools Board approved a General Appropriation Resolution and several facilities and procurement measures during its March 9 meeting.
Among the items approved were an award of the Filter First Grant drinking fountain bid to Kalamazoo Mechanical (KMI) in the amount of $89,843.00 to install and modify filtered drinking fountains and bottle-filling stations across district facilities; an elementary classroom furniture purchase totaling $791,036.60 using cooperative purchasing contracts; and a bond change order for $42,575.00 for a new well at the high-school baseball/softball restrooms and storage building. The General Appropriation Resolution and these contracts were approved as presented (motions carried as recorded).
The Schools of Choice resolution for 2026-27 also was approved, authorizing the district to operate a Schools of Choice program in accordance with Sections 105 and 105c of the Michigan School Aid Act. The meeting record does not include line-by-line contract documents; district administration is responsible for contract execution and for reporting procurement details as required.
