Superintendent to convene student meetings starting with grades 9–12 to gather student voice

Superintendent Adam Bowen told the board, "We would like to hear directly from students and will begin immediately with grades 9–12," and said meetings with middle and elementary students would follow in the fall tailored to age-appropriate topics. The announcement came after President Denise Churchill thanked chaperones and parents for the successful Winterfest dance and invited more student participation in board conversations.
The superintendent also outlined upcoming engagement activities: Studer Education coach Brent Brummet will be on site this week for cabinet leadership development, student and parent surveys will be conducted this month, and an employee engagement survey is scheduled for March. Bowen noted staff coffee events at the MS/HS and elementary schools to provide opportunities for staff to hear more about district initiatives.
