The Montabella Board of Education adopted a slate of policy updates on Feb. 16 that the minutes list under a second reading. The updates cover nondiscrimination and anti-harassment provisions, Section 504 and ADA compliance, curriculum development, homebound instruction, controlled-substance policy language and other administrative policies.
"Motion to adopt the Board Policy updates as presented," the minutes record; the motion, made by Erica Vincent and seconded by Ivan Renne, passed by unanimous vote. The minutes include a long list of policy identifiers (for example, PO 1623, PO 1662, PO 2266, PO 5517.01 and PO 7540.02) but several policy titles in the minutes contain typographical errors (for example, "Hombound Instruction" appears in the record and was corrected in finalized policy documents).
The minutes do not quote the substantive language changes; they record only the board's formal adoption. Board staff are expected to publish corrected policy titles and the amended language in the official policy manual and on the district website.
