Gary Miller elected Board President as West Branch–Rose City board reorganizes

The West Branch–Rose City Area Schools Board reorganized its leadership Jan. 19, electing Gary Miller as Board President and selecting Scott Kartes as Vice-President, Debra R. Abraham as Secretary and Alan Withers as Treasurer; all elections were unanimous, 7-0.
Gary Miller was elected Board President for 2026 during the West Branch–Rose City Area Schools Board of Education meeting on Jan. 19 after nominations and a motion to close nominations carried unanimously. The election was affirmed by a 7-0 vote.
The Board also elected Scott Kartes as Vice-President, Debra R. Abraham as Secretary and Alan Withers as Treasurer; each officer was approved unanimously, 7-0. The Superintendent served as acting chairperson for the organizational portion of the meeting and Notary Karyn Randall administered the Oath of Office to all members after the elections.
