Lorain County commissioners reject fact‑finder report in Job & Family Services bargaining

Commissioner Jeff Riddell moved to reject the fact‑finder’s recommendations, saying the board lacked full historical context and preferred the issues be resolved at the bargaining table; Commissioner David J. Moore seconded the motion. The resolution (No. 26‑14) records the board’s formal rejection of the report and notes the union and county will continue negotiations.
Commissioners said the timing required action before a statutory deadline and that rejection of the report does not constitute a contract but returns bargaining leverage to the parties.
