Commissioners appoint members and alternates to county boards and commissions

At the Jan. 12 meeting commissioners named representatives and alternates to several boards including Data Processing, Board of Revisions, Health District Board, Solid Waste Management Policy Committee and Keep Lorain County Beautiful; Anne Heczko was named as Commissioner Gallagher's alternate on the Lorain County Planning Commission.
The board made a series of appointments at its Jan. 12 meeting. Resolution 26‑4 records appointments to the Data Processing Board (President Commissioner Moore, alternate Todd Sharkey), the Board of Revisions (Commissioner Moore, alternates to be designated), the Health Department District Board (Commissioner Moore and alternate Commissioner Riddell), the Solid Waste Management Policy Committee (Commissioners and alternate Commissioner Gallagher) and Keep Lorain County Beautiful (Commissioner Moore and alternate Commissioner Gallagher).
Separately, the board adopted Resolution 26‑8 appointing Anne Heczko as an alternate member to the Lorain County Planning Commission effective Jan. 12, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2026. The meeting record notes that an alternate on the planning commission may vote in place of the commissioner when acting as alternate.
