Separately, following a public bid process led by the county engineer, the board awarded a $619,950.80 contract to Specialized Construction Inc. to resurface Chestnut Ridge Road in Eaton Township. The engineer reported an estimate of $667,902 at bid opening and the contract sets a completion date of July 15, 2026. The transcript states the Ohio Department of Transportation will provide 80% of construction funding; the remainder will be funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission.
