County accepts NRCS notice of agreement for low-water-crossing projects; USDA to handle procurement

Bacon said the county opted to have USDA handle procurement and engineering rather than run county procurement to save local staff time; the court approved the notice of agreement and authorized the judge to sign documents.
"This is the notice of agreement, which is our formal acceptance of the grant," Commissioner Bacon said while explaining the NRCS/USDA process. Bacon also noted the county will need to coordinate with the auditor's office on how to set up budget tracking across technical and financial assistance categories for the three precincts affected.
