Two student members of the board reported on upcoming student activities and asked for board guidance. Tierra Pringle summarized senior-class planning — including prom-theme surveys and a proposal for a permanent class mural in the new building — and invited the board to Saginaw United’s Black History program on Feb. 25. Board members asked about the mural's permanence and the approval process.
Riya Patel reported that students in the math and science concentration will present at the Flint Regional Science and Engineering Fair on March 14, 2026, at the University of Michigan–Flint campus, and noted SASA High School's theater production, The Bookstore, is also scheduled for March 14. The student members sought visibility in upcoming policy reviews and presentations, per Mrs. Seals' request that SMOBs be involved in policy review discussions.
