Board briefed on $2.8 million in proposed federal Title carryover and reallocations

Mrs. Nichols presented the carrying amounts, saying, "Title I is $1,941,630; Title II $502,067; Title III (EL) $31,756; Title III (Immigrant) $2,474; and Title IV $335,345." Dr. R. Roberts confirmed the amendment will be submitted to the Michigan Department of Education and that the board will be asked to approve the consolidated application amendment on the March 18, 2026 Action consent agenda.
The board did not debate details at the briefing; Mrs. Nichols said information was shared in the board book and invited board members to raise questions with Ms. Henderson before the March 18 meeting. The memorandum to the board and the amendment will specify how carryover funds are allocated to programs and schools before final approval.
