The Alexandria Public Schools Board of Education approved its full consent agenda Jan. 26, ratifying December 2025 claims, accepting multiple personnel resignations and retirements, approving hires and status changes, and adopting new and revised district policies. The consent agenda also included travel and fundraising approvals (Robotics, FFA, Carlos Elementary 5th grade, Boys Hockey) and a Memorandum of Understanding with Alomere Health effective Jan. 5, 2026. Laura Knudsen moved to approve the consent agenda and Tracy Capistrant seconded; the board recorded Ayes 5, Nays 0.
Personnel items included named retirements: Nancy Gesell (Pre‑K teacher, EEC; employment 8/25/85–6/3/26), Brian Meyer (Social Studies teacher, AAHS; 8/31/98–6/3/26), Beth Pappenfus (Pre‑K teacher, EEC; 9/3/96–6/3/26) and Jeanne Reed (Biology teacher, AAHS; 8/28/90–6/3/26).
