At the Sept. 15 meeting the Williamston Board reviewed multiple overnight and out-of-state student trip requests and deferred final action to the Oct. 6 regular meeting.
Mrs. Deal reviewed requests that include Quiz Bowl National Championship travel (dates in May 2026), Band and Choir travel to Cedar Point (May 29, 2026), Business Professionals of America state (March 12–15, 2026) and national conferences (May 6–10, 2026), Model United Nations events (Dec. 3–6, 2025; Jan. 15–18, 2026; Feb. 12–15, 2026), WHS Quiz Bowl nationals (Apr. 24–26, 2026) and a German Exchange (June 10–22, 2026). The WHS Theater Production curriculum item (Brian the Comet) was reviewed and supported by Superintendent Dr. Adam Spina; Mrs. Deal moved the theater item to ACTION for Oct. 6 as well.
Board members asked clarifying questions which were answered by Dr. Spina. No trip-specific approvals or logistics were finalized at Sept. 15; administrators will return with supporting paperwork and details when the items appear on the Oct. 6 agenda.
