The Freeland Board of Education on Feb. 18 approved a set of FMS/FHS course requests submitted for the 2026–27 school year. Member Lisa Knoerr moved the slate and Member Jeffrey Kipfmiller supported the motion; the vote carried 5-0.
Approved courses named in the minutes include All Girls Physical Conditioning for Athletes; Gothic Literature and Film; AP Cybersecurity; High School Leadership in Action; Book Club; Human Biology; Business classes; Intro to Weight Training; Personal Relations Design; Digital Design and Production; Talon Tutors; Teacher Cadet; Tutor Support Ecosystem; Biology Foundations of AI; and Voices in Democracy. The board-recorded approval allows district staff to proceed with scheduling and curricular placement for 2026–27.
