"That the resolution authorizing Virginia Tech to move forward with an $800,000 planning authorization to complete working drawing design documents for the Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility Improvements project be approved," the resolution states. The motion to approve was made by Mr. Pearson, seconded by Mr. McCarthy, and passed unanimously by the 13 board members present.
The board record notes a presentation and the approved resolution are attached as Attachment A. There was no public comment period at the meeting and the board conducted the vote during the virtual session. The motion and accompanying materials did not specify construction timelines or additional budget commitments beyond the authorized planning funds.
