Williamston board votes unanimously to join PowerSchool MDL over 2024 data breach

Member Sarah Belanger moved to approve the resolution to join MDL No. 3149 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California; Member David Indish seconded. The board conducted a roll-call vote coordinated by Secretary Amanda Hathaway Frattarelli; the tally was Aye: 7, Nay: 0. The resolution authorizes and directs Superintendent Dr. Adam Spina, or a designee, to sign the Attorney-Client Fee Contract with Frantz Law Group and to take actions necessary to pursue monetary damages and injunctive relief, subject to review by the district’s counsel.
