The Williamston Board of Education approved a package of policy changes April 13. The board voted 6–0 to add new policies including 2600 (Hours and Days of School Operation), 4130 (School Cameras and Monitoring), 4520 (Data Breach Response), 7180 (Communication with Parents), 7200 (Rights of Non-Custodial Parents), 8044 (Toilet Training), 8520 (Lice Nits and Bed Bugs), 8730 (Public Appearances of School Groups), 9180 (Recording of District Meetings), and 9240 (Drones).
The board also approved revisions to 3750 (Payment Procedures) and 7160 (Special Education Program / Special Education), and removed policy 4365 (Special Use of Transportation Services). Motions were made and seconded with the board recording unanimous aye votes on each item. The changes take effect as adopted and will be incorporated into the district policy manual.
