Superintendent Dr. Adam Spina presented recommendations on Nov. 17 to advance or confer tenure-status changes for four teachers.
The recommendations were: Kyle Robinson — tenure; Kyle Sprague — tenure; Madeline Stewart — tenure; and Khonnor Longendyke — move from year 3 to year 4 probation. Board members asked clarifying questions; President Nancy Deal moved the item to the Dec. 8 regular meeting for action.
Why it matters: tenure and probationary-status changes affect employment status, contractual rights and staffing for the coming year; the board must take formal action to implement the superintendent’s recommendations.
