"Moved by Mr. Bedford, supported by Ms. Marhofer that the board approve Howell Public Schools to continue to participate as an unlimited K-12 Schools of Choice district for the traditional in-person program and the Highlander Virtual program, as per Exhibit K of the official board minutes," the minutes state; the motion (Item #2025‑156) passed 7‑0.
The vote authorizes the district to accept out‑of‑district students under the Schools of Choice program without a cap for both in‑person and virtual offerings for the coming school year. Exhibit K in the official minutes contains the administrative details and any conditions attached to the district's participation.
