The board's finance report included recommendations to award several contract packages for 2024 capital projects. Dr. Michaud said the mechanical improvements package (Collins, Pine Ridge, Goodwillie) had two bids and staff recommended awarding to the low bidder, Rightway Plumbing & Heating, for an amount not to exceed $1,589,500 from 2023 capital project funds. "We received two bids and the recommendation is for the low bidder, Rightway Plumbing and Heating for an amount not to exceed $1,589,500," Dr. Michaud said.
The report also included two summer paving packages (Central Middle School and Pine Ridge Elementary); staff recommended Keterberg Burhae as the low bidder for a combined amount not to exceed $766,121. Separately, the board packet showed a recommendation to purchase new marching band uniforms for Forest Hills Eastern from Stanbury for an amount not to exceed $62,700; Dr. Michaud noted that cost will be split across the district, Eastern High School and Eastern band boosters.
