Hillsborough County Arts Council outlines $2,000 Professional Development for Artists grant and July 31 deadline

Kathy Collins, Program Manager for the Professional Development for Artists grant, told applicants the program is reimbursement-based and that “you must personally pay for either the equipment or the educational experience and then submit a reimbursement request” before being reimbursed by the county.
The grant supports durable equipment or instructor-led professional development and has a maximum award of $2,000, Collins said: “The grant maximum is $2,000.” Applications are currently open and “will close on Friday, 07/31/2026 at 5PM,” she added. Collins reminded applicants that a score of 70 or higher is required to be eligible but that final funding depends on approval by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.
