Albert Lea board approves agenda, adopts levy and adjourns

At its Dec. 1, 2025 meeting, the Albert Lea school board approved the agenda (6-0), adopted the 2025 Pay 2026 final levy (5-1) and adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
The Albert Lea Area Schools board opened the Dec. 1 meeting immediately following the Truth-in-Taxation hearing and approved the meeting agenda on a motion by Neal Skaar, seconded by Kim Nelson; the agenda motion passed unanimously, 6-0. Davy Villarreal was recorded as absent.
Later in the session the board adopted the 2025 Pay 2026 final levy on a motion by Kim Nelson, seconded by Mary Jo Dorman; the levy was approved 5-1, with Director Angie Hoffman voting no. Superintendent Heil provided an informational update on staff and student cabinet feedback for the district's strategic plan. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
