AAHS staff propose required junior tours, expanded internships tied to Minnesota Career Pathways

Eric, an AAHS presenter, said the school would “want to require all juniors to tour at least one college or business” as part of a push to connect coursework to post‑graduation plans. The presentation outlined plans to expand the workplace internship program with quarterly placements; Scott Daninger was identified as helping to set up internships for students. Several students currently in internships are expected to be hired at their sites after graduation.

Emily and Katie said they updated the registration manual to reflect Minnesota's Career Pathways and to better frame high‑school courses as preparation for students' next steps. The presenters said internships will continue to carry high‑school credit toward graduation.
