The Williamston Board of Education on Dec. 8 voted to grant tenure to three teachers — Kyle Robinson, Kyle Sprague and Madeline Stewart — and to move teacher Khonnor Longendyke from year 3 to year 4 probationary status. The motion, made by David Indish and seconded by Heather Gorsline, passed 7-0.
Board minutes state the changes will take effect on the anniversary dates of the employees’ hire. The action was recorded as Aye: 7, Nay: 0. The board moved these personnel items under separate action (VIII.C.I) rather than the consent calendar and discussed procedure briefly before voting.
