Board OKs $549,400 paving project for high school parking, drainage and sidewalks

The Williamston Board of Education voted 7-0 to award a contract to repave parking lots on the south side of the high school, including added sidewalks, signage and drainage, with a not-to-exceed cost of $549,400 charged to the 2024 Bond.
Andrew Dobbs of Christman Company presented the recommended bid and answered board questions about scope and timing. Deborah Wolf moved the approval, seconded by Heather Gorsline; Mrs. Hathaway Frattarelli conducted the roll-call vote recorded as Aye: 7, Nay: 0. District staff said work will begin in summer 2026 immediately after the school year ends.
The project is part of the district’s bond-funded facilities improvements to address parking, circulation and drainage at the high school.
