Specialty courts budget rises for UAs; Veterans Treatment Court grant still pending

County specialty courts staff told the court they shifted more UA (urinalysis) costs into a dedicated fund and budgeted a small $200 increase for county travel related to home visits. "The only 2 changes that you will see to the specialty court budget is in county travel for home visits. There's a $200 increase there," staff said, and noted the larger change is a supplies/operating increase to fund UAs.
Staff said the Veterans Treatment Court grant remains pending and is not yet included in final budgets; they asked that commissioners note that award approval will affect future funding lines if the grant is approved. No final decisions were made in the morning session.
