Board votes to support Brad Baltensperger for MASB Region 1; president abstains

The roll-call vote was recorded as five ayes and no nays; the motion carried 5-0 with one abstention.
Trustee Cherryl Maddox-Smith told colleagues she had met Baltensperger at leadership conferences and described him as "pretty amazing and dedicated," saying she believes he would be a strong representative for Region 1. The board packet included candidate information for Region 1 and other contested seats.
