Mount Rainier awarded $9.7 million in Safe Streets for All funds; county municipalities received nearly $11 million

"This past year, city of Mount Rainier was awarded $9,700,000 in federal funding," Meyer said, adding that additional planning funds went to Brentwood, Edmonston and Riverdale Park and that Prince George's County municipalities received nearly $11,000,000 out of about $28,000,000 statewide through the program. Meyer used these figures to illustrate how municipal grant awards can create opportunities for school-focused infrastructure work when local PTOs and municipalities coordinate.
