A committee member requested that health insurance costs be separated into employees, spouses and retirees so the board can see how premiums and employer costs are distributed. Staff said health-insurance detail is not yet in the new budget report but agreed to include a breakout in quarterly reporting.
Staff and the chair agreed to quarterly reporting to reduce administrative burden and provide a clear snapshot of health-insurance expenditures; staff said they will produce the first breakout covering July through September.
