Urbana to open CAPER draft for public comment Aug. 11; hearing set Aug. 25

City grants manager Chris Colter told the commission the CAPER (Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report) draft will be publicly available beginning Aug. 11, initiating a 15‑day public comment window. He said a public hearing on the CAPER will be held during the commission’s Aug. 25 meeting and that the final report is due to HUD by Sept. 30.
Colter asked commissioners and staff to help publicize the notice to neighborhood lists and libraries so residents can review the draft and submit comments during the public‑comment period. "The draft CAPER will be available at that point in time, online and hard copy...and basically, if people have any comments about the CAPER, they can submit those to me or the city," Colter said.
