Taloga board schedules Jan. 28 hearing on dismissal of employee Danny Stump

The Taloga Public Schools Board of Education voted on Dec. 19 to mail and/or hand-deliver the superintendent’s recommendation regarding the dismissal of employee Danny Stump and to notify him of his rights, and it scheduled a hearing to consider the recommendation.
Vice President Doug Kilmer moved that “a copy of the Superintendent’s Recommendation be mailed and/or hand-delivered to Mr. Stump, along with a notice letter advising him of his rights; and that a hearing be scheduled before the Board of Education for the 28th day of January, 2026, at 4:30 o’clock P.M., in the Board Conference Room at Taloga High School, 500 Rube Avenue in Taloga, Oklahoma, at which time the Board will consider whether to accept or reject the Superintendent’s Recommendation for the dismissal of Mr. Stump.” The motion was seconded by Justin Fox and the board voted Yes — Acre, Kilmer, King and Fox.
The motion schedules a formal personnel hearing; no decision on the superintendent’s recommendation was made at the Dec. 19 special meeting. The board’s action sets the next procedural step as the Jan. 28, 2026 hearing at 4:30 p.m. in the Board Conference Room at Taloga High School, where the board will decide whether to accept or reject the superintendent’s recommendation.
LaDeana Birney was recorded absent from the Dec. 19 special session. Superintendent Cherice Fox and Minute Clerk Conner Boettler were present at the meeting.
