Taloga Board holds executive session on student records, later dissolves records issue

The Taloga Board of Education convened an executive session at 6:33 p.m. on Dec. 10 to discuss confidential student records under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and O.S. Section 307(B)(7). The motion to enter executive session was made by Doug Kilmer and seconded by Justin Fox and carried with a unanimous vote.
After returning from executive session at 7:04 p.m., the board recorded an executive compliance statement noting that no votes were taken during the closed session. Shortly thereafter, Stacy King moved and Ladena Birney seconded a motion to dissolve records issues with a student; the motion passed with Yes — Birney, King, Fox, Kilmer and Acre.
