Taloga board adopts multiple policies including open records and behavioral threat assessment checklist

The Taloga Board of Education voted to adopt a slate of policies as presented at the Nov. 12 meeting. Policies approved included BEC (executive session), GBA (open records requests) and the GBA-E public record access request form under the Oklahoma Open Records Act, CKAK (behavioral threat assessment) and its checklist CKAK-E, BBF (code of ethics for board members) and DOB (due process for administrators). The motion carried with votes from Birney, Fox, Kilmer and Acre.
Board minutes list the policy codes and indicate the board approved them "as presented." No substantive text of the policies was read into the record during the meeting and the minutes do not include the full policy language; the board accepted the items following standard procedure for policy adoption at a regular meeting.
