During the May 22 meeting, the commission moved into a non-elected personnel executive session to conduct an employee evaluation with Appraiser Ryan Janzen, HR representative Alicia Rumold and County Counselor Molly Priest; the board recessed and returned at 10:20 a.m. Later in the session the board held a legal executive session with Sheriff Cope and Counselor Priest for attorney-client privilege and reconvened at 11:10 a.m.
Counselor Molly Priest also reported that a tax sale is scheduled for July 8 at 6:00 p.m. to address delinquent properties and foreclosures, with eight properties currently listed in the minutes. Commissioners additionally discussed personnel coverage needs, including a temporary absence noted for a staff member named Betty and direction to work with HR on interim help.
