The Lynwood Board of Trustees voted March 11 to request Cook County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for Program Year 2025 and to accept $500,000 to support identified roadway reconstruction projects handled by Robinson Engineering.
Trustee David Lilly moved to waive first and second readings and adopt Resolution 25‑04 to apply for CDBG roadway reconstruction funds; the board then adopted Resolution 25‑05 to accept $500,000 for the 2025 program year. Attorney Boyle summarized that the action covers Robinson Engineering construction projects initiated by the village using CDBG funds. The motion carried on roll call with all trustees recorded as voting Aye.
Britney McPherson of Robinson Engineering told the board that applications will begin now for the upcoming construction year, a procedural step toward implementation.
