The Fayston Planning Commission voted May 11, 2026 to change its process for revising Chapter 3 (Ecology) of the Town Plan, adopting a live line-by-line review method. The motion was made by Commissioner Freddie Graves and seconded by Chair Langford Davidson; the commission recorded unanimous approval.
Commissioners Michael Duell, Andrew McNealus and Chair Langford Davidson had prepared a proposed revision while Commissioner Graves presented a detailed list of notes. After an extended document-by-document review the commission concluded the prior workflow was not producing an effective consolidated draft. Under the new approach, the commission will conduct live line-by-line edits of priority chapters at meetings or, at future meetings, designate a single commissioner to prepare a full revision for presentation and adoption. The commission recorded the procedural motion during the Chapter 3 work session and set a plan to decide the editing method for remaining chapters at its next meeting.
